Medical Technologist I

About the Role

In this role, you will be tasked with evaluating laboratory results for clinical significance and conducting quality control. Additionally, you may teach and mentor new employees and will be required to perform all laboratory functions according to established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Reporting accurate results and evaluating them for clinical significance.
• Ensuring quality control is acceptable and maintaining instrumentation.
• Minimizing errors and correcting them as required.
• Performing laboratory functions according to established procedures.
• Troubleshooting equipment and assay performance when results are questionable.
• Teaching or mentoring new employees when requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory or medical technology.
• Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist certification.
• License/Certification required within six months of hire.
