Medical Lab Scientist

About the Role

This onsite, full-time role performs laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory. The scientist interprets and reports test results, performs quality control and serves as a resource to lab and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and analytic testing of specimens and interprets, documents and reports results
• Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
• Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements
• Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff
• Performs projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program
• Certification as MT (AMT) or MT/MLS (ASCP) or categorical ASCP certification, obtained within 90 days of hire
• State licensure if required by law
