Medical Assistant

About the Role

This position involves performing routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. The Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with a team to provide quality patient care and ensure a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with performing patient care under the direction of a provider or nurse.
• Performs basic clinical skills and specimen collection, and documents patient care provided.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering and troubleshooting.
• Performs administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, and data entry.
• Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years of Medical Assistant experience OR graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or an accredited CPR certification, valid prior to start date.
