Medical Assistant I

About the Role

This full-time medical assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office. Under the direction of a provider or nurse, the MA assists with patient care, specimen collection and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists with performing patient care under the direction of a provider or nurse
• Performs basic clinical skills and specimen collection
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient conditions and documents care provided
• Maintains equipment, medical supplies and examination areas
• Performs administrative duties including scheduling, data entry and patient registration

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Certified MA or Registered MA
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date
