Medical Assistant

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for their health care visits and supporting health care providers during examinations. Your role will also include maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for health care visits by directing and accompanying them to the examining room.
• Provides general office support including phone and fax management.
• Serves as the preceptor for new staff, conducting orientation and education.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
• Supports patient care delivery by assisting health care providers during examinations.
• Completes lab test follow up and medical record documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• One year of experience in a direct health care role may substitute for graduation from a Medical Assistant program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR certification.
