About the Role
This full-time day-shift role performs echocardiogram procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, independent of supervision. The sonographer educates patients, performs imaging and ensures diagnostic-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and physician orders and educates patients regarding procedures
- Independently performs echocardiography procedures and selects appropriate transducers
- Differentiates normal and abnormal structures to ensure sufficient diagnostic information
- Monitors patient condition and reports changes in status
- Implements safety standards, performs quality control and reports scan results
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program, an associate's in allied health, or a bachelor's degree
- RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider with card in-hand before start date
