Cardiac Sonographer I

About the Role

This full-time day-shift role performs echocardiogram procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, independent of supervision. The sonographer educates patients, performs imaging and ensures diagnostic-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician orders and educates patients regarding procedures
• Independently performs echocardiography procedures and selects appropriate transducers
• Differentiates normal and abnormal structures to ensure sufficient diagnostic information
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes in status
• Implements safety standards, performs quality control and reports scan results

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program, an associate's in allied health, or a bachelor's degree
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider with card in-hand before start date
