About the Role

The SPED Teacher focuses on delivering individualized, evidence-based instruction that supports academic growth, communication, social-emotional development, and functional life skills. This role includes case management responsibilities and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver individualized, data-driven instruction across academic, communication, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional skill areas.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum based on student needs.
  • Implement structured teaching to support access and engagement.
  • Support expressive and receptive language use, including using AAC devices.
  • Serve as case manager for IEPs, FBAs, and BIPs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education.
  • Special Education Generalist License from Colorado Department of Education.
  • Colorado READ Act designation.
  • Ability to manage classrooms effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
