About the Role

The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports the Kitchen Manager in food preparation and operational tasks. This role also includes supervising and training kitchen staff while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all ordering, inventory, receiving and issuing tasks.
  • Assists with delegation of assignments to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Lead and direct employees in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety procedures.
  • Guide food preparation activities and oversee inventory processes.
  • Maintain financial records related to kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work at different kitchen locations as needed.
