Social Worker - Middle & High School

About the Role

The school social worker collaborates with teachers and the IEP team to address students' challenges through various methods. They play a crucial role in improving students' educational performance and providing appropriate interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group services to students experiencing mental health or social difficulties.
• Collaborate on developing individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Conduct school-wide activities and crisis intervention.
• Maintain appropriate data on students to document performance levels.
• Consult with parents and staff regarding children's programs.
• Support and establish a safe learning environment for diverse students.

Requirements

• Colorado Special Service Provider License for School Social Worker.
• Master's Degree in Social Work.
• Experience working with school-aged children.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of special education law.
