Kitchen Assistant

About the Role

The Kitchen Assistant is essential in promoting good community relations while ensuring health department sanitation standards are met. The role requires effective collaboration with various stakeholders and dedication to positive customer service in a busy school environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the proper set up and cleanup of serving areas for timely service to students.
• Serve meals daily while complying with all school food regulations and ensure health department sanitation standards.
• Independently follows menu and recipe instructions, maintaining proper food temperatures and portion sizes.
• Learn and operate Point of Sale system and reconcile monies daily.
• Participate in training, including PGI Classes, and may lead training for other kitchen staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent education.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
