Kitchen Assistant

About the Role

The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the school's meal program. This position involves working collaboratively with staff to prepare, serve, and maintain the quality and safety of meals provided to students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, service, and sale of meals ensuring compliance with department regulations.
• Help with the proper setup and cleanup of serving areas for timely service to students.
• Serve meals daily while complying with all school food regulations and ensure health department sanitation standards.
• Independently follow menu and recipe instructions while ensuring proper food temperatures and portion sizes.
• Assist in unloading and proper storage of delivered food items.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff while maintaining confidentiality of all student information.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
