Kitchen Assistant

About the Role

The Kitchen Assistant plays a crucial role in the preparation and service of meals in a school setting. This position emphasizes community relations and compliance with food regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, service, and sale of meals ensuring compliance with department regulations.
• Prepare meals by washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping food items.
• Participate in training and may lead training for other kitchen staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
• Serve meals daily while complying with health department sanitation standards.
• Assist in unloading and proper storage of delivered food items.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent education.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexibility in learning new concepts and adapting to assignments.
