Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License
• Colorado Metropolitan Certification Board Firefighter I Certification (issued upon successful completion of an approved fire academy)
• Colorado Metropolitan Certification Board Firefighter II Certification (issued upon successful completion of an approved fire academy)
• Colorado Metropolitan Certification Board Hazardous Materials Operations Certification (issued upon successful completion of an approved fire academy)
• Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment EMT-Basic Certification by the time of graduation from the approved fire academy.
