Sunset Yoga at Bella Terra Farms
A free yoga class on a pickleball court with Pikes Peak behind the instructor and mini cows watching from the meadow, then a drink, a snack and a walk out to meet them. It's run by a nonprofit therapeutic farm five miles east of Monument. The 2026 series is done and next year's dates aren't up yet. Here's how it works so you're ready when they are.

How the evening runs

5:30pm to 6pm, arrival. The farm suggests coming early to look at Pikes Peak and the animals before class. Yoga is on the outdoor yoga pad, which is the pickleball court.
6pm to 7pm, welcome and yoga for all. One class, every level, no experience needed.
7pm to 8pm, sip, snack and stroll. Everyone shares what they brought, then walks the meadow to meet the miniature farm animals.
The animals, per the farm's team and critters page: mini Highland cows, miniature donkeys, miniature horses, Friesian ponies, alpacas, mini goats, lop-eared bunnies, ducks, chickens, two shih tzus and the barn cats. If that list doesn't get you down I-25, nothing on this site will.
Is it worth the drive?
We cover Douglas County and the farm isn't in it. Monument is the first town south of the county line on I-25, and the farm says it's five miles east of there, so this one is for Castle Rock, Sedalia and Larkspur readers more than anyone up north. What makes it worth the trip is the part after class: it's a therapeutic farm whose whole job is letting people be around animals, and it's free.
Bella Terra Farms is a 501(c)(3). Its mission, in its words, is to provide therapeutic farm and play visits "to support all those who visit to find healing in body, mind and spirit," with a special passion for the special-needs community, and the visits are free. Yoga on the Farm is the fundraiser that helps keep them that way. If you can't make a class, the farm takes visitors by appointment the rest of the year.

Frequently asked questions
The 2026 season is over. The farm's summer series, Yoga on the Farm, ran Saturday mornings at 8am (June 13, July 11, July 25, August 15 and August 22), and the sunset edition closed out the summer with a 6pm class. The farm has not posted 2027 dates; its yoga page and yoga-updates page are where they will appear.
It is free. In the farm's words, "all are welcome free of charge." The suggested donation is $30 a class or $100 for the five-class summer series, and it funds the nonprofit's free therapeutic farm visits, but the farm says it welcomes you whether or not you donate.
The farm describes itself as "5 miles east of Monument, and just a few miles north of Colorado Springs," which puts it in El Paso County just south of the Douglas County line. It does not publish a street address; visits are by appointment and the address is emailed once you book.
