Student Nurse Tech

About the Role

As a Student Nurse Tech, you'll assist with patient care tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires effective communication and the ability to adapt to the needs of diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Document and report all procedures accurately according to department policy.
• Participate in obtaining nursing history and evaluate patients' needs.
• Perform treatments according to policy and procedures, providing care appropriate to age and acuity.
• Support quality standards and initiatives through participation in performance improvement activities.
• Enforce safety regulations and demonstrate appropriate use of PPE.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program, having completed the first semester of Nursing Fundamentals.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience as a nursing assistant preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide age-specific care for diverse populations.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance with safety protocol.
