Communications Technician (Police Dispatch)

About the Role

As a Communications Technician, you will be key in providing essential 24-hour emergency services to residents in Parker and Lone Tree. Your role will involve coordinating responses to various emergencies and relaying crucial information to police officers and others, directly impacting public safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide vital 24-hour emergency services for Parker and Lone Tree residents.
• Handle a variety of calls for service, including emergency and non-emergency incidents.
• Use multi-tasking skills to manage multiple computer screens while communicating via phone and radio.
• Process approximately 9,700 calls for service per month as part of a team.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Two years of increasingly responsible related experience.
• Emergency dispatch experience preferred.
