Utilities Estimator - Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers

About the Role

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is looking for a Utility Estimator to support project pursuits and awarded projects by coordinating and managing utility design and SUE. Candidates should possess experience in utility design and construction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs from source files including CAD, MicroStation, or PDF
• Prepare estimates for subcontracted and self-perform utility work including water, wastewater, gas, electric, and telecom
• Input quantities into estimating software and apply unit pricing based on historical costs
• Research historical projects to determine applicable past costs
• Prepare subcontractor bid packages and estimate review packets
• Prepare construction schedules

Requirements

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree
• 10 years minimum experience, preferably 5 in estimating
• Able to open and manipulate .dwg, .dgn, and .pdf files
• Working knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise
• Knowledge of estimating software such as HCSS or Hard Dollar
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
