Senior Utilities Estimator

About the Role

This position will support project pursuits and awarded projects by coordinating and managing Utility Design and SUE on various large projects. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in utility design and infrastructure coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs from source files including CAD, Microstation, or PDF
• Prepare estimates for subcontracted and self-perform utility work for water, wastewater, gas, electric, and telecom
• Travel to project or pursuit offices, interface with other discipline estimators to ensure scope alignment
• Input quantities into estimating software and apply unit pricing
• Research historical projects to determine applicable past costs
• Prepare and present estimate review packets

Requirements

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree
• 20 years minimum experience, with preferably 5 in estimating
• Able to manipulate .dwg, .dgn, .pdf files
• Working knowledge of Bentley Projectwise
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of estimating software such as HCSS or Hard Dollar
