Estimating Intern - Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (Summer 2027)

About the Role

As an Estimating Intern, you will support the Estimating Group in preparing cost estimates and analyzing project plans. This internship provides an opportunity to work on real-world projects while gaining exposure to various engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.)
• Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects
• Coordinate with estimators and engineers to provide constructability input
• Participate in Task Force Meetings and brainstorming sessions
• Identify and communicate risk during the estimating process
• Conduct site visits as necessary.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
• GPA above 3.0 preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Strong mathematical and computer skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
