Design Engineering Manager

About the Role

The Design Engineering Manager will be a mid-level leader with strong technical and coordination skills, ready for increased responsibility. This role involves supporting design management efforts throughout various project phases, ensuring collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support management and coordination of multi-disciplinary design teams during project development and execution.
• Assist senior design leadership with staffing plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor design progress and support adherence to scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and constructible.
• Identify project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Support preparation and management of subconsultant scopes, fee negotiations, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture.
• 10+ years of design engineering or design management experience.
• U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, ethics, and delivering quality work.
