About the Role
As a Civil Designer, you will be part of a rapidly growing team focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. Your work will include developing engineering solutions that support heavy civil construction projects across various disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Perform primarily in-office work supporting utility and civil infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop preliminary and final design plans for roadway, drainage, and utility systems.
- Work with utility designers to define system design requirements for CAD and design tools.
- Identify gaps between Kiewit tools and project design requirements, making actionable improvement plans.
- Maintain accurate digital records for utility documentation and participate in design reviews.
- Utilize engineering software like OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D for project deliverables.
Requirements
- Associate degree in CAD, 3D Modeling, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
- Ten years of experience in CAD design for roadway and utility infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify design discrepancies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information.
