Civil Designer - Digital Survey - Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers

About the Role

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a mid-level Civil Designer to join the Digital Survey team at its Lone Tree, CO office. The role involves developing detailed 3D CAD models of proposed designs and existing site conditions while updating these models as new survey information becomes available.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models using construction plans and shop drawings
• Research available public surface data
• Serve as a primary resource for LiDAR data processing on projects
• Work with point cloud data from mobile, terrestrial, and airborne collection methods
• Conduct quality control on deliverables
• Mentor junior designers as needed

Requirements

• At least an associate degree in CAD, 3D modeling, drafting, or similar program experience
• 3-8 years of experience in CAD, modeling, or drafting
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Connect
• General knowledge of engineering principles for civil/structural work
• Ability to comprehend civil/structural contract drawings
• Strong attention to detail
