Ultrasound Technologist I

About the Role

This position provides conscientious patient care while adhering to all quality and safety standards. Administrative duties include scheduling appointments, providing patient instructions, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality ultrasound images while accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology using scanning protocols.
• Facilitates patient flow daily; to include management of STAT/urgent and high priority patients.
• Provides age-appropriate care and appropriately prepares patients for procedures.
• Operates all Ultrasound equipment; to include ancillary equipment following safety procedures and protocols.
• Communicates clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms, following established department guidelines for customer service.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) specialty or Registered Vascular Technologist (VT) at time of hire.
• Pediatric Sonography specialty required within 2 years of hire.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider.
• Previous pediatric experience preferred.
