About the Role

The Sterile Processing Tech I Certified performs entry-level tasks related to the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment. This role involves critical thinking and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning following IFU’s.
• Performs appropriate sterilization of instrument and equipment based on IFUs.
• Performs routine cleaning and sterilizer testing, including biological monitoring and leak testing.
• Documents work utilizing instrument tracking software or paper documentation.
• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgement.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified as a CSPDT or CRCST from relevant associations.
• Preferred: at least 2 years' certified experience.
