Sous Chef

About the Role

Join Wind Crest as a Sous Chef and play a key role in the innovative Signature Dining Programs, which include a la minute cooking and chef-inspired creations. You will supervise culinary and utility staff, manage daily kitchen production, and direct the preparation and service of all menu items. Most restaurant team members are out before 9pm.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the scheduling, training, and discipline of all culinary and utility staff
• Manage daily kitchen production and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals
• Direct the preparation and service of all menu items, including recipe adherence, food handling, safety, quality, and dietary restrictions
• Oversee the organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years full-service experience required
• Minimum of 6 months supervisory and coaching experience required
• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, from hot kitchen to refrigerators and freezers
