Software Engineer - E2

About the Role

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Within these programs, you will participate in the design, development, verification and deployment of complex new software and hardware simulation systems.
• This position will support full project life cycles of testbed products, including Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWILs) testbeds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related technical field.
• Previous hands on experience supporting Flatsat, HIL, or ground test hardware (including internships).
• Proven ability to execute test procedures, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and resolve problems on site.
• Strong technical writing skills; experience producing clear, concise documentation for engineers and customers.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
