About the Role
This position involves performing onsite imaging procedures and ensuring adherence to the organization's policies and standards. It also requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
- Prepares equipment and supplies, selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) and analyzes results for quality issues.
- Ensures safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
