About the Role

The Patient Access Specialist role involves greeting patients, gathering necessary information, and managing registrations for services. This front desk position supports our commitment to exceptional patient satisfaction with high attention to detail and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patient and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation.
• Communicates with referring provider's office to exchange necessary information and determine schedule.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts required payments and ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is entered accurately.

• Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of insurance verification processes.
