Mammography Technologist

About the Role

This position requires a highly skilled individual who can perform mammography procedures with precision and care. The technologist will work directly with patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and schedules appointments while educating patients about procedures.
• Administers contrast media and medications as ordered, monitoring patient conditions continuously.
• Prepares equipment, selecting exposure factors, and implements safety standards for quality control.
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and addressing quality issues.
• Requires critical thinking skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M).
• BLS certification must be valid prior to start date.
