Elementary Instructional Assistant

About the Role

This position involves assisting with classroom management and delivering small group instruction in reading and math. The assistant also supports students in developing essential academic and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom management and help maintain a positive, productive learning environment
• Co-teach small-group reading and math lessons
• Monitor and deliver assessments to small groups of students
• Encourage and support student independence in academic tasks
• Assist students with organizational, study, and time management skills
• Provide clerical support such as copying, filing, and maintaining records

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Strong commitment to student learning and development
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in both Mac and PC platforms and Google applications
• Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment preferred
