Electro Mechanical Engineering Associate Manager Level 4

About the Role

The Cable and Harness Central team is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Harness Engineer who will lead a team of engineers in the development of the Zuken E3 Library database, Cable and Harness Scripts, the transition of scripts from VBS to Python, Database Process improvement and Cable and Harnessing.

Responsibilities

• Understand and provide process improvement with automation for cable and harness design.
• Manage a team of engineers to implement electrical components into the E3 database quickly and efficiently.
• Be responsible to ensure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle. Maintain scripts and create scripts as needed to support cable and harness design.
• Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
• Maintain a working relationship with our Supplier: Zuken.
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Proven experience in electrical/mechanical engineering including wire harness/cable design.
• Experience with CAD design.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
• Knowledge of the cable manufacturing processes (connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, testing).
• Experience with Python, VBS scriptingWorking knowledge EPDM tools or equivalent.
