About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor, or Associate Clinical Manager, ensures compliance with quality and safety initiatives while partnering with a multidisciplinary team to meet patients' clinical needs. This role involves preparing schedules, overseeing patient flow, and mentoring team members to improve clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures in the unit.
  • Lead team members in providing direct patient care with expert clinical knowledge.
  • Serve as a charge nurse by preparing schedules and assigning team members to patients.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety initiatives and practices.
  • Monitor staffing resources and adjust as necessary to meet unit needs.
  • Develop and mentor team members in clinical practice and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
  • Three years of clinical RN experience is required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • ANCC recognized certification in clinical specialty is preferred.
  • Additional certifications like PALS or ACLS may be required based on unit. Long term experience needed.
