About the Role
The Appraiser position is expected to possess significant, independent and direct experience in valuing complex real properties, including commercial and industrial real estate. The role offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule once probation is complete, granting options for remote work and alternative schedule arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Completes field inspections, measurements, property data collection, and sketches for commercial and industrial properties.
- Participates in County Board of Equalization hearings and completes Value Data Summaries for submission.
- Acts as an expert witness in the defense and support of appeals.
- Conducts property reviews for omitted and incorrect information, quality control reports and classification concerns.
- Applies appropriate procedures for the Income approach to value for various property types.
- Analyzes valuation information and concludes understandable opinions of value.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Completion of appraisal qualifying education for a Certified General Appraisal License.
- Four or more years of professional appraisal experience for Appraiser III, or ten years for Appraiser IV.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have an Ad Valorem Appraisal License.
