Consumer Access Specialist

About the Role

In this role, you will perform Medicare compliance reviews and coordinate with various departments to support patient needs. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of service and care provided at our facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments or establish payment plans.
• Coordinate with utilization management staff for pre-authorization issues.
• Register patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of medical records.
• Manage communication between clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments to enhance the patient experience.
• Attend department meetings and promote positive dialogue within the team.

Requirements

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• 1+ customer service experience [Preferred]
• Knowledge of computer programs and electronic health record programs.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish [Preferred].
