About the Role

The Town of Castle Rock is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting of accounts. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting public service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Records daily cash receipts for various departments.
  • Processes invoices for billing to outside parties.
  • Assists with month-end closing and accurate reporting.
  • Reconciles accounts receivable data.
  • Compiles data for the Town’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
  • May assist with or participate in special projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • At least two years of experience in accounts payable or municipal payables.
  • Knowledge of modern accounting principles and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills with the public and clients.
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
