About the Role
The Town of Castle Rock is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting of accounts. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting public service operations.
Responsibilities
- Records daily cash receipts for various departments.
- Processes invoices for billing to outside parties.
- Assists with month-end closing and accurate reporting.
- Reconciles accounts receivable data.
- Compiles data for the Town’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
- May assist with or participate in special projects.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- At least two years of experience in accounts payable or municipal payables.
- Knowledge of modern accounting principles and procedures.
- Effective communication skills with the public and clients.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
