Castle Rock 4th of July at Festival Park

Castle Rock’s Fourth of July celebration returns to Festival Park (300 Second Street) from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 — a signature America 250 / Colorado 150 event. Free and family-friendly, with live music, food trucks, face painting and family activities. The fireworks show is cancelled for 2026 under Douglas County Stage 2 fire restrictions (effective July 2).

Live music: the Denver Dolls open at 5:30 p.m., the Castle Rock Band plays at 6:45 p.m., and Thunder Roads takes the stage at 8 p.m. The annual Pie Bake-Off runs on Perry Street from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. — the first 100 visitors get a free slice and winners are announced from the stage at 6:30.

Fireworks — the roughly 20-minute show from Miller’s Landing is cancelled for 2026 under Stage 2 fire restrictions (off Plum Creek Parkway just east of Philip S. Miller Park), visible up to 3 miles away — good viewing from Downtown Castle Rock, Metzler Ranch Community Park, Philip S. Miller Park, Rock Park and parts of Red Hawk. Rain date is Sunday, July 5; the show is canceled if Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect. Hosted by the Town of Castle Rock.
