22nd Annual Turkey ROCK Trot 5K & Free 1K Kid's Dash

Castle Rock's largest attended running race and Thanksgiving morning tradition returns Thursday November 26, 2026. The Health & Wellness Expo opens at 7:30 AM at the Douglas County Event Center, with the 5K Family Fun Run/Walk/Stroll and Free 1K Kid's Dash (sponsored by PR Youth Running) starting shortly after — 2026 race times typically run morning of, with an assigned wave system based on expected pace per mile. All proceeds benefit the Help & Hope Center, providing assistance to neighbors in Douglas and Elbert counties facing economic crisis, food insecurity, or housing instability. Part of the Run to Change Lives ROCK & RUN Series alongside the July 4th Rock-It Run and March ShamROCK Stampede.
