About

4.5(995)

Monk & Mongoose was founded nine years ago by Jared and Lindsay Keiffer, and this RidgeGate Parkway shop — on the ground floor at RidgeGate Parkway and Commonwealth Street — is the original location. A second Lone Tree shop, Monk & Mongoose at High Note, opened in November 2025, and a third location operates in the Denver Tech Center (Greenwood Village), just outside Douglas County.

The shop brews exclusively Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters (Lakewood, CO) and pours loose-leaf Spirit Teas. Pastries and food rotate seasonally. There's no liquor license at any Monk & Mongoose location.

What To Expect:

☕ Espresso, cortado, latte, hand-brewed pour-over, batch brew, and cold brew — exclusively Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters
🍵 Loose-leaf Spirit Teas in a tea press, plus chai
🥐 Rotating pastries (scones, coffee cake, croissants, muffins) from Handcraft Bakery, plus organic fresh foods from Overt Kitchen
🐕 Dog-friendly outdoor patio — a mix of work-from-anywhere regulars, business meetings, coffee dates, and dogs
🚪 Garage-style doors that open the shop onto the patio on nice mornings
🚚 Coffee cart available for weddings, grad parties, showers, and private events — has worked the PGA Tour at Castle Pines for a full week

📍 Local Insights

🚪 Garage Doors Open on Nice Days: RidgeGate's two garage-style walls open onto the patio, blending indoor and outdoor space — the move on a warm morning.

🐕 Dog-Friendly Patio: Regulars describe "lots of cute dogs" on the patio, alongside a steady crowd of remote workers and business meetings from the surrounding office and healthcare employers.

☕ Sweet Bloom Coffee, Exclusively: Monk & Mongoose has used Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters out of Lakewood since it opened — a deliberately stripped-down menu built around the coffee itself.

🚚 Coffee Cart for Private Events: They bring a coffee cart to weddings, showers, and grad parties, and have staffed the PGA Tour at Castle Pines for a full week.

📍 The Original Shop: This RidgeGate location opened first, roughly nine years ago; the newer High Note location a few minutes away has a different, loftier vibe — worth visiting both.
