Where to Buy Fresh, Local Meat in Douglas County

By Connor Tien, DougCo Social · Updated July 2026

Grocery-store meat comes from a commodity case and who-knows-where. Douglas County has better options — and they come in two flavors: real butcher counters that cut in-house, and true ranch-to-table spots where you buy beef straight from a known local ranch. Below, a few craft butchers and a full gourmet market, plus a family ranch and the local producers you'll find at markets and makers' shops. Here's where to buy fresh, local meat.

Everything's cut in-house, and the shelves round out with heritage pork, farm-fresh eggs, and Colorado provisions — about as close to ranch-to-table as a butcher gets.

Tony's Meats & Market — Castle Pines

Ranch-to-Table & Buy Direct

The true ranch-to-table options — beef, eggs, and produce straight from a known local ranch or producer.

The Perry Ranch — Parker

  • What: Family ranch in Parker raising Angus & Charolais cattle (high-plains grass-fed); beef, produce, and eggs from one source
  • How to buy: Direct through the ranch, or find them at area farmers markets in season
  • Website: perryranch.org

If you want to buy straight from the source, The Perry Ranch is a family-owned operation right in Parker, raising Angus and Charolais on the high plains. They sell their own beef along with eggs and produce — the most direct ranch-to-table option in the county. Order through the ranch or catch them at a local farmers market.

The LOCAL at Parker — Colorado makers under one roof

  • Where: 19565 Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138 (downtown Parker)

A short walk from Rugby Scott, The LOCAL is a shared storefront for Colorado makers — in their own words, "your connection to Colorado artisans, farmers, chefs, ranchers, and more." It's a one-stop for local ranchers' and food producers' goods alongside Colorado provisions and gifts. The same team also runs several area farmers markets, including the Sunday market at Castle Rock's Festival Park and the downtown Parker market — another way to buy straight from local producers.
