About the Role

As a Lateral Police Officer with the Parker Police Department, you provide public safety services to the community and help maintain peace, safety, and order. The department emphasizes community policing and partnerships, and laterals bring prior solo-patrol experience to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to calls for service throughout the Town of Parker.
  • Interpret and uphold local, state, and federal laws.
  • Preserve public order and safety.
  • Investigate crimes and make arrests as necessary.
  • Partner with the community to identify and resolve concerns.
  • Complete required reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current Colorado P.O.S.T. certification or provisional letter.
  • Minimum of one year of solo patrol experience.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass all phases of the selection process.
