Senior Specialist, BP Audits and SOX Compliance

About the Role

Schwab seeks a Senior Specialist to support the Business Process portions of annual assessments for Internal Control over Financial Reporting and Internal Control over Compliance. This role involves risk assessments and controls testing to enhance Schwab's control environment.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to broker-dealer, bank, and corporate processes through risk assessments and control testing
• Contribute to a risk-based approach to Schwab's annual ICFR and ICOC assessments
• Collaborate with management, Schwab's external auditor, and other testing programs
• Self-manage and lead the preparation of assigned assessment portions
• Improve and innovate the assessment and operational approaches using automation and data visualization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, Information Systems, or Finance
• Two or more years of related work experience in BP controls-based testing
• Knowledge of SOX requirements or Financial Responsibility Rule requirements
