Senior and Principal Electrical Engineers - Full time and Contract

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer at Kiewit, you will be instrumental in engineering power and control systems for significant infrastructure projects across North America. Your key role will involve designing practical solutions and collaborating with construction teams to ensure your designs are brought to life effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead electrical engineering designs including layout and design schematics.
• Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for medium to large industrial projects.
• Formulate technical specifications for collaboration with construction partners.
• Perform system modeling and analysis using ETAP and other tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide them through departmental design standards.
• Work with multi-discipline teams to provide clients with holistic engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• 10+ years of experience in Electrical engineering design for industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• Experience with ETAP simulation and SmartPlant for design.
• Familiarity with FEED, D/B, EPC processes and design progression.
• Understanding of safety protocols, including requirements for nuclear projects.
