Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy and surgical site verification
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices
• Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition and treatment

Requirements

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support certification
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• One-year minimum experience in the perioperative setting
• ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire
• CNOR preferred
