About the Role

As a Phlebotomy Lab Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting high-quality patient care through efficient specimen collection and processing. Your efforts will help ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of test results, which are critical for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage specimen procurement, receipt, and processing.
• Provide age-appropriate care techniques in specimen collection for all age groups.
• Answer inquiries regarding specimen collection and processing.
• Interface with hospitals, departments, and medical offices.
• Obtain blood specimens and perform general lab duties.
• Maintain effective communication within the lab and other departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy program preferred.
• Good customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Experience in a hospital laboratory is desirable but not required.
