Operating Room Nurse

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for the operating room
• Coordinate and oversee the surgical room as the circulator
• Facilitate the efficient transition between procedures
• Utilize proper body mechanics in patient handling
• Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia
• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy prior to surgery

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum one year experience in an operating room setting
• Active RN license as per state requirements
• BCLS Certification required upon employment
• ACLS certification as required by facility
• CNOR certification preferred
