Manager, BP Audits and SOX Compliance

About the Role

The Manager will support the Business Process portions of the internal control assessments. This is an individual contributor role focused on enhancing Schwab's control environment and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to broker-dealer, bank, and corporate processes through risk assessments
• Contribute to a risk-based approach to the ICFR and ICOC assessments
• Collaborate with various teams to enhance Schwab's control environment
• Prepare and review assigned assessment portions, documenting work per team standards
• Partner with management to remediate identified issues and evaluate deficiencies
• Provide coaching and feedback to junior team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, or Information Systems required
• Four or more years of related work experience in BP controls-based testing
• Active CPA, CISA, or CIA certification required within one year of starting
• Detailed knowledge of SOX requirements or Financial Responsibility Rule requirements
