Alternative Investment Senior Risk Specialist

About the Role

As a Sr. Specialist Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in assessing Alternative Investment securities for Schwab. This includes reviewing new assets and ensuring compliance with internal policies, all while collaborating with various business partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform the initial review of Alternative Investment securities that are new to the Schwab platform.
• Perform quality control of and approval on security level reviews performed by other members of the team.
• Communicate directly with internal business partners and external partners, collecting documentation to complete reviews.
• Conduct ongoing review of Alternative Investments held in custody, ensuring compliance with risk criteria.
• Complete quality control reviews of statement pricing and fair market valuations.
• Assist Team Manager in identifying areas of opportunity and enhancing process efficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years experience in the securities, brokerage, or financial services industry.
• Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to solve complex problems.
