Urgent Care Technician

About the Role

As an Urgent Care Technician, you will be an active member of the urgent care team, participating in patient care and procedures. You'll ensure patient safety and support efficient clinic operations while collaborating with various clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput; keeps patients apprised of delays.
• Observes patients and notifies the provider and/or RN immediately if patient appears in distress.
• Prepares patients to see the provider; assists prior to, during, and following examination.
• Maintains exam and treatment rooms and other areas; ensures established standard supply levels are maintained.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One of the following credentials: CMA; RMA; State licensure as EMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); completion of military medic course.
