RN Pre/Post Special Procedures/Surgery

About the Role

This position provides top-of-scope nursing care in a dynamic clinical environment. You will be involved in direct patient care during perioperative and recovery phases, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide top of scope nursing practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach for exceptional patient outcomes.
• Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and nursing students.
• Contribute to patient safety and quality care at the point of care.
• Support individualized specialty education and training for competency validation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or state board approved program.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and relevant life support certifications.
• At least 6 months RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 3 months of employment.
