Responsibilities

• Primary duties would include supporting Space accounting team to ensure proper accounting treatment for cost and payroll accounting entries.
• The successful candidate will look to continuously improve processes, enhance system/process controls, provide value add analysis and support to the Finance and Business Operations departments.
• The individual will be responsible for various accounting responsibilities, including month-end entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and assisting employees with timekeeping questions.
• This individual will perform duties in accordance with company internal controls.
• In addition, the candidate will work with internal customers to solve problems and other duties as assigned.
• Maintains applicable internal and external (FAR, CAS, SEC, US GAAP) policy, procedure, and controls for compliance to support internal process and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Master's from an accredited college or relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Be self-motivated and have strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be able to develop relationships and work effectively with others in different locations
• Must be able to adjust work schedule as necessary to ensure critical financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation to obtain a possible clearance and if applicable must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship required.
